Dmitry Godin
Chairman / Founder
Dmitry Godin is an entrepreneur and financial services executive with significant experience building and scaling financial services businesses. He founded Interfirst Mortgage, a national wholesale mortgage platform, and brings expertise across technology-enabled origination, consumer lending, residential credit, real estate investment, and balance sheet management. His operating and investment experience supports Graphene Re’s platform development, capital strategy, and long-term growth objectives.
Ben Herskowitz
Director / Board Member
Ben Herskowitz is an experienced investor and business leader with a background in platform strategy, capital formation, transaction structuring, and strategic oversight. He brings experience across real estate investment, structured transactions, residential and commercial property acquisitions, investor relations, and capital markets. His background supports Graphene Re’s focus on disciplined growth, strategic partnership development, and long-term platform execution.
Ilya Shulman
Board advisor
Mr. Shulman has been active in the healthcare real estate sector for decades. Over the course of his career, he has played a key role in the acquisition of healthcare properties totaling over $140 million. Beyond his role as an investor, he has also acted as the manager of five healthcare facilities, and is a part-owner of Provident Healthcare Management, a leading healthcare management company. Prior to his involvement in healthcare, Mr. Shulman held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Interfirst Mortgage Company, where he managed treasury, financial operations, repurchase facilities, and secondary marketing activity. Mr. Shulman graduated from the University of Illinois with a major in Finance.

Mike LeBoeuf
President, Graphene Re
Mike LeBoeuf brings more than 40 years of actuarial, insurance, and senior executive experience across the life and annuity industry. His background includes FIA and MYGA pricing, statutory and GAAP financial matters, valuation, reinsurance, product development, transaction negotiation, administration, M&A, and tax. He has held senior leadership and consulting roles with Somerset Re, Prudential, Converge REII, Towers Watson, and Bruce & Bruce Consulting. Mike leads Graphene Re’s reinsurance strategy, actuarial oversight, product evaluation, and carrier partnership execution.
Charlie Miller
Chief Financial Officer
Charlie Miller is an experienced financial executive responsible for financial reporting, capital planning, accounting, treasury management, audit coordination, tax compliance, and financial operations. His experience includes statutory and GAAP reporting, investment accounting, financial controls, and coordination with external auditors and advisors. Charlie provides financial discipline, reporting oversight, and operational control in support of Graphene Re’s reinsurance platform.
Sean Shotzberger
Chief Distribution Officer, Graphene Re
Sean Shotzberger brings more than 25 years of experience in annuity distribution, independent agent markets, IMO relationships, and insurance sales leadership. He has held senior distribution roles across established and startup annuity platforms, with experience building IMO channels, onboarding national marketing organizations, developing carrier relationships, and driving fixed annuity production. Sean leads Graphene Re’s distribution strategy, target-carrier engagement, market outreach, relationship development, and commercial positioning.
